BREAK. GRR…

For the next three days, I will be OFFLINE DURING PRIME HOURS.

In an impulse decision I decided to say hello to the secretaries, who had a problem with my apartment’s order.

Hells, I thought it was pretty clean: no obstructed floors, no clothes laying around at random—just a couch that doubles as a work area—but apparently there’s multiple problems as far as they’re concerned.  It would appear that federal!code is nothing short of “HEY THIS DOESN’T EVEN LOOK LIVED IN.”

The next three days will be spent bringing my apartment up to federal code.

I’m not getting booted, not as far as I can tell—but I’m in a tricksy spot.  So in order to make sure that I continue to have  a roof over my head, I must forego the embrace of the internet.  It’ll take three days, I figure, if I do nothing at home but focus my attention on getting the place up to code.

I won’t fall behind on test/beta reading—these can be done offline—but be warned that there will be UTTER RADIO SILENCE until I’m sure I won’t land on the street.

….I’m so mad I could kill something.

But that’s leisure time.

Time to clean up.

EDIT:  9:16 PM.
I've managed to get the pantry neat and organized, and even have found more stuff to send outta here.  I'm going to be getting something arranged for storage, to speed things up.

No dinner—wasn't time to cook that curry.  I'll make shells and cheese; to make it more filling, I'll add a can of diced tomatoes and chiles.

If I respond slowly it's because I'm damn tired.  Good thing I've adjusted to work's wicked scheduling.
