DDFF Meme: Day 1. Preferred Faction?

 So yeah

I'm starting this meme thing.  That's right--RAI'S ON THE BANDWAGON.  For the next thirty days I will try to offer a coherent response to the questions!  And probably fail miserably, since I tend to talk in circles when I get excited.  (...blog in circles???)

So, here we go:  Choosin' a Faction!

I actually found myself torn with this one. We’re supposed to be rooting for Team Cosmos, since they’re the Good Guys (TM), and Team Chaos is comprised of obvious Bad Guys (TM) like Garland, and Kefka, and the Cloud of—

But wait…if I remember right, the Cloud of Darkness is a being that comes into existence when there’s an oversaturation of the Light element, bringing the balance back… Though technically she/it is an antagonist, in the mythos of the game, she/it is a force of nature itself and can no more be eradicated wholly than time itself. And Shantotto is Straight Up Nuts, terrifying most of Team Cosmos in the first game.

Character Alignment as a deciding factor is out, then… Looks like I just have to go with my gut.

And the answer is…

TEAM COSMOS.

No, it’s not because of the numbers of heroes, or because of their attractiveness levels (Frankly, if THAT was the deciding factor, I think Team Chaos would have one solely on the merits of PalaMecia). Rather, it is because of what they represent: the chance for the conflicts to be abated, so that everyone can realize their dreams in peace. Members of Team Chaos have their own, yes, but they tend to involve the destruction of others’ dreams in the process.

…then again for Team Cosmos to win, Team CHAOS must be stopped from realizing their goals…
