Countdown to Judgement Day:  20 days

 

I’m starting to really feel this now.  As the day of reckoning approaches, with its heralds sounding brazen trumpets, progress has suddenly stalled…

 

 

The stepladder is, for wont of a better term, fast approaching fucked.  As I cleaned the pantry, pulling out boxes that I still have for no explicable reason, I twisted funny and—instead of throwing my knee—threw a hinge!  It bent into a low, slanty sort of V while I was stacking bags on powdered milk…

 

Why do I have so much powdered milk?  I go through a lot of it.  Baking, cooking, drinking homemade cocoa mix…also I have a free supply of it coming in, and thus it is cheaper than buying a gallon of milk a week.

 

Anyway, I felt the ladder sink about an inch underneath me and I looked down to see the wonky hinge.  And stood there for about a minute before concluding, “Yeah, maybe I should get off of this thing before it spills me to the ground, eh what.”

 

Of course it gave a little more on the way down.  That’s my luck for you.

 

The remainder of the cleaning was countertop and spice rack (which I’d knocked down when I left to discard the now-gutted boxes).  Then a sweep and a mop.

 

Then a nice little rest on my damn nice clean floor.  (And since it’s a steam mop it’s nice and warm too!)

 

Tomorrow will be serious.  I’ve called in the cavalry.

AAaarrrghhh! I get a serious case of the heebie jeebies when I go on wonky stepladders (which is often thanks to ours being ancient and hanging together by two bits of tired old cord) mostly due to the inner ear curvature caused by dyspraxia meaning that my balance is...well let's just say if the ground is unstable I'M GOIN' DOWN.

To cure ourselves of this rotten mood there's only one thing for it! A SANDWHICH! I got a craving for an evil bishi one right about now. Or a delicious 589 one involving DAT ASS of Squall's... Hmm but there are plenty others too. Kefka/Exdeath/CoD for one... Or Jecht/Sephiroth/Emperor/Kuja with Ultimecia watching... Yah, I think I need to head to the kink meme right about now.
