The Doc's Verdict

11:08 AM.  The office is full of people talking in soft voices, a counterpoint to the healthcare channel stock loop.

There appears to be some kind of problem with my insurance card; the provider is so cheap that even if one does not use all of the provided services, they are all listed on the card.  Because of this there's a bit of a kerfuffle about what is actually covered.  This is taking long enough that I've actually the time to rant.

11:21 AM.  They finally processed the card.  This visit will cost me nothing, and so I am unconcerned about the stuff that needs to be done.

Now, if they find something...

The wait is irritating.  The outdated magazines suddenly look quite appealing.

11:50 AM.  I've just read an article in a fairly recent National Geographic about a series of experiments that produced--get this--domesticated foxes.  Positively fascinating and positively adorable.

12:20 PM.  My appointment was two hours ago.  I'm still in the waiting room.  A fast-food joint is in my future.  Had I known there would be such delay, I would have packed almonds.

1:13 PM.  I've finally been questioned, poked, prodded and otherwise interrogated about my conditions.

The dose of my beta blocker has been doubled, as well as the Imitrex.  As I write this I am on the bus, en route to what is probably a bad decision in my condition--greasy fast-food.  ... then again, NOT eating right now, five hours since a scanty breakfast, is probably a worse idea.  I'll just forego my double salt.

1:52 PM.  I seriously think I spend more time on the bus than at home.

After making a meal stop it was off to the pharmacy.  The prescriptions cannot wait.  A doubling on the strength of a beta blocker is a little alarming.  ... luckily, my Nook is handy along with the classics of Sir Arthur Conan Doyle.  Master Sherlock, Take Me Away!

4:07 PM.  *impatient foot tapping*
Any time now.  I dislike the looks of that big beige blotch in my visual field.

5:17 PM.

The day's loot.  Medicine, hair rescue, and a brush.

Oh, and gourmet potatoes.

Now I rest.  Let's just say the beta blockers make me... goofy.

Urps. Hope the rest of the day is okay.

(I've had a rather miserable one myself but getting 366 KP in the Dragon King's Gateway and discovering that Theathrythm may ship Tidus/Exdeath helped perk things up a bit.)

Not much left to do besides applying that hair rescue treatment. I have seen shinier tree bark. That and food. Last thing I ate was that fast food. Now that I've got an impressive amount of oil lotion on my hair ( it was also as DRY as tree bark) the fact that I am hungry is a little obvious. HEAR IT RRGLEMRRGLE!

Nice KP haul!

.... this, as my muse yesterday began toying with ideas to write more of that. I blame you. XD

Tidus/Exdeath needs more love. Now and forever. In fact I am tempted to make a fight with them to Theme of Love and annotate it.

Or even make a quest...

... Hand me a script and I'd so NA!localize it if you made it.

I need to drag my machine to work. Must renew wordprocessor license.
