And now for: Things I Generally Don't Recommend.

Ever notice that you never have first aid crap when you need it?
That happened Friday, when I nearly lopped off a fingertip. That's another thing I generally don't recommend, for the record. This meant improvising bandages and a tourniquet until the following day, in which I picked up real bandages and iodine, as well as drawing salve and leg cramp pills.
The moral of the story: Make a first aid kit.
Like now.
Before you need it.
