I haven't had the chance to do much recently. The biggest bit of news is that I've managed to get back to being able to use my home computer. Of course, it's only for about two hours out of the day on any given day, but that's an accomplishment, if you ask me. Oh, and my dad decided to do his little food-switcheroo on me.

It's times like this that I seriously consider moving out and moving in with a friend.

The food in question happened to be whole milk, which I have not been able to tolerate for about ten years now. It has been two days since it got into my systemm, and I have been insanely nauseous ever since. Remind me to hit him upside the head with an over-cooked noodle when I get home tonight. x.x

Oh, and my muses decided to get started again on that darn fic. It just so happened that it would be during philosophy class when it happened, though. I didn't mind too much, since the professor was covering the same thing that had been covered the class before just in case anyone had missed anything. While my brain zoned out, I decided to do something productive, and actually got started on it again. At this rate, I should have what amounts to two typed pages by this time tomorrow. Maybe a little bit more. Maybe not. I've noticed that I get a lot more done when I do it in longhand to begin with, and do editing later on the computer. That could be considered weird in this day, I guess, but...meh. Maybe not. Oh, well.

And now for something completely different.

My father the homophobe decided to make another comment this morning on my writing. He compared that scene--the second version of it, anyway--to something out of an Anne Rice book, and he tells me this: "You know, Anne Rice is famous for her books having that whole homo-erotic undercurrent."

I bit back the urge to grin and squeal when I said, "Yeah, I know," but I don't think it worked all that well because he gave me the weirdest look...It wasn't easy, I kept getting the hottest images in my head. It didn't help that he mentioned that if it were published, and made into a film (remember, he didn't listen when I said it was a fic) that Hollywood would have a field day with that scene.

"What? They'd cut it up? I wouldn't let them--"

"Actually, they'd leave it just as it is..."

And there is this *ka-thud* noise that means that I've fallen down three steps and against the wall, because my brain decided that yes, it wants to go there and has now given me a visual in excruciating detail.

"What happened?"

"Oh, I slipped."

Well, it was kind of true...
