WEEK TWO OF NANO, CLOSING OUT.
Nov. 12th, 2010 11:34 amAs the second week of NaNoWriMo closes out (Early, yes, but I'm going to need this weekend to adjust to a new regimen of painkillers), I think of how hard it was to get started at first. I mean, I had this awesome idea floating around in my head and had no idea how to get it started. Then I decided to just take the path of least resistance: I just started writing it.
With a loose goal of 1667 words a week minimum, I just started banging it out, all the while remembering that this is not yet National Novel Editing month, and therefore I had better hide that red pen and eraser while I knew what was good for me--otherwise, nothing would get done.
I spent a day this week doing something that I hadn't done in a while and don't plan on doing for a while. I got drunk. Between that one day and spending last weekend sick, I fell way behind and now have to play catch-up.
Updating at a McDonald's has its perks: free refills on Powerade, for one. But there's no accessible outlet for someone who needs to plug in their computer, so I'm going to be vanishing as fast as I popped online today.
Wish me luck!
