An Open Letter: Dear LiveJournal,

( Here is an open letter of complaint to Livejournal's developing team. Spread it, alter it, do whatever you will, but make sure that this (or something similar) makes the full rounds around Livejournal's higherups' collective heads. Please note that this has to be split into two to place in comment fields. )

A quick look at the number of complaints and the ridiculously low number of “Likes” on Facebook reveal that there are serious problems with what has been done with the site.  Rather than wank about it, I have attempted to sound at least somewhat professional with my gripes.  Though some of them I share with the larger base, there are likely other things that I have either not yet spotted, or simply have no problems with at all.  Thus, I give to you all, this: a letter of dissatisfaction, coupled with constructive solutions.  Take it, spread it, modify it to reflect your reactions as well, but above all, make sure that LiveJournal is aware of its base.  We will not go unheard.  Never has a comment section of a release been so disliked, so reviled, so very quickly.  I release this letter under the spirit of Creative Commons.  Take, share, and spread.  Do you hear the sound?  It is the thunder of keys, announcing the coming storm.

They will hear our voices.

They will listen.

Are you there, LiveJournal?  Consider this the beginning of the Occupation.
Take action, friends.  It begins now.
