The irony is that my father deemed the Final Fantasy games to be the only sophisticated games I play. (Mind you that's a fair quip since I don't play many games. ^^;;) Though all he's done is listen to the music since he has no patience for anything else. He's 65, I'm just glad he even acknowledges that video games CAN be sophisticated.
That's great to hear that your brother's a good sort. I often wonder if I'm truly close to anyone in my family who isn't my mother or father anymore. (My mother's side is trying to cheat me out of my inheritance and I'm so distant from my half-sister that my mother actually tells me not to be myself around her. We're like Zidane and Kuja...if they were female...)
