My father would have been a geek if he were born a generation later I think. I get my love of musical theater from him and we have a ton of conversations about quality songs and performances. I suppose he's also to blame for my adoration of good acting because he taught me how to appreciate the heart of a performance. Thanks, old man, now I'm addicted to seiyuu and animation acting and it's all your fault. :|

Families. I know blood is thicker than water but is it thicker than feuds I wonder? The main problem with my mother's side is that my maternal grandmother was the heart and soul of the family. Now that she's gone there is a HUGE rift thanks to my aunt's husband trying to make money off her property with his grand scheme (despite not being an executor - the house legally belongs to my mother and aunt so he holds no power over it and can't do anything without my mother's co-operation) and is accusing my parents of undermining him, creating trouble with the planners and THAT THEY ARE NOT ADHERING TO MY GRANDMOTHER'S WISHES. The man didn't even like her and now he's using her memory as manipulation against her own daughter? LOW BLOW. (Thank heavens my parents are more intelligent than he is and aren't falling for it.)
