Huh, never tried a writing program with music features but then I'm still on microsoft word. Do you perform better with light music? I can do prose okay with easy listening fare but have to have quiet for dialogue.
The tortoiseshell, who commonly goes by Iris (but being a cat has about five dozen nicknames), likes to sit on the keyboard constantly. Will make very discerning noises. She mews a bit but makes a very unique little 'prrrrrrrhpp' sort of sound most of the time.
Thank goodness the bastards didn't manage to get anywhere else. It's a shame you can't take a torch to the couch to be sure they won't return - would be effective but proooobably not very popular.
