So I ain't got the ficcage yet.

But! In my defense, I haven't been at the house in a while. I haven't gotten a chance to write much otherwise, either, so I really haven't even thought about it.
All that I have written lately is Vincent/Cid, and it hasn't even gotten that far yet. I've decided to go back to an old fic that I was working on and add a little bit more suspense to it, some more action.
Substance, really.

To that end, I am currently on the third new chapter and working on the second fight in it. I think I like the way that this fight scene is going. There is action, there is all of the senses involved (don't nag me on grammar, I am on a fuckin' ROLL here), and most importantly, I'm having that peculiar reaction in which I actually like my own work! That never happens. Well, almost never. But you get the point, I'm guessing.
When I first started the fic in question (and none of it is even posted, so don't bother looking around my myriad screen names for it yet), it really started as an excuse to write slash. Then again, who needs an excuse when it is its own excuse, right? But while I did all that, it turned into an idea that I actually want to see get going and finished at some point in time or another. So, even though I can't get anything done on something more high tech than a Zebra F-301 and a miniature notebook, I am getting the writing done. That's saying something for me, since I haven't had the drive to do much at all.
But I better get back to work on it, or else I will lose the train of thought that I had going. :-3
