In the skillet: the dish (in progress)

…So.
Weeks on weeks without a regular update, and now that I have a library card and a class at the local college, I'm going to be doubling down on both my studies and my posting.
And, Yes, I can explain myself. …eventually.
It's a lot of angst and a lot of random rambling, really, so it might take a while to catch up completely. (It's also all currently longhand; I couldn't wait until I got to a computer to vent.)
Until then, Shmeh, all. Algebra is still as annoying as I remember it being when it kicked my ass the first time; however, this time I have an army of friends who know what they're doing with this shit, and so this time around I might stand a fighting chance with it. As it goes, it's going to get back to the point where I'm dreaming of equations and parabolic functions again. That will be annoying.
Food: I haven't cooked anything more sophisticated than yakisoba in weeks; I'm saving money for tuition, so it's back to burgers and ramen for a while. If I'm lucky and get tips at work, I could have a pizza once in a while.
Work: We're slowly losing our staff. Recently we had a management shake-up; I'm not entirely certain but there were messages on a certain OTHER social networking site that got to someone who should not have seen them, and the entire situation went fubar before we knew what hit is. The new management that has been placed in our location due to this snafu? It's rotten; morale is in the graveyard, and as each week goes by, one of the staff 'veterans' leaves us for greener pastures at a different hotel. As it's going, within a few weeks I'll be the only non-newb left at the site; even I'm starting to lose my patience, though.
Apartment hunting: I GOT IT!
Computer: I'm working on it still
Writing: Also still working on it, and having to put up with the recent system switch from XP to Vista; I have to keep remembering to save in a cross-compatible format or else I can't work when I get back.
In a nutshell: I'm busy, dudes. *flail*

Date: 2008-08-30 12:03 am (UTC)Yakisoba: My favorite of cheap foods. Delicious. (Oh, and I made some awesome macaroni & cheese the other day, kinda like this (http://recipes.wikia.com/wiki/Macaroni_and_Cheese) but half the size and with Mrs. Dash and more onion)
Writing: Why bother with Microsoft Word's lack of format support when you can go with OpenOffice (http://www.openoffice.org/), which can not only save in Word formats but also lots of others, including OpenDocument (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/OpenDocument)? ;D
