It is called the "oh my god I need to hurry the fuck up and heal already" diet.  It starts with protein.  Lots of protein.  Then, unprocessed grains.  Lots of them.  (It is a good thing I like bulgur wheat.  And quinoa.  Gods I love quinoa.)

This is further supplemented with …well, supplements.  PT-recommended antioxidants.  A 1-oz shot of açai juice.  Then breakfast.  Then a fruit smoothie made with organic yogurt and a tablespoon of hemp protein.  Then my multivitamin.

Snack is a sunflower-seed butter sandwich on 7-grain organic bread.  Then an açai chew and a shot of goji juice.

Dinner is whatever is fast to cook.  Last night was rice and tamari lemon chicken (10 minutes in the rice steamer and 7 minutes on a George Foreman grill), then the second multivitamin.  Another hemp-seed augmented protein shake.

(I will forget to eat protein in the day.  Recently disabused of the notion that a body can only have a maximum of 60 grams of protein a day, and informed that I'm [surprise!] deficient, I now have a Post-it note on my fridge reminding me to either add protein powder to whatever I'm drinking, or drop everything and make a cheeseburger.)

The physical therapists and I are on a "well, it won't hurt so we'll see if it helps" kick right now.
Three days into the regimen and two after the start of knee exercises, the muscle spasms I've ha for a week have stopped almost totally.
