Giving it the old college try: cleaning up.

The apartment needed cleaning.  I mean, it really needed cleaning.  So I got up today—around noon, but better late than never—and got started.  Began with the work area; at least it will become a work area if I ever get done with straightening it up and quit using it as a go-to-flat-surface.  It looks better, but the real progress won’t happen until I remove the printer and clean underneath it.  Huge empty space surrounded by junk is a motivation all on its own.

I went to the rest of the apartment then.   Bed was made in about four minutes (Slow, I know, but I haven’t had ten-bed-drills since I got hurt); couch was straightened in three (and messed it back up in five as it became a go-to-semi-flat-surface); dish sponges boiled, chilled, nuked, and then boiled once more for good measure; created a desk-storage area under the coffee-table/work area; swept the floor.

That was when my knee decided to do its impression of Navi and shout “HEY!  LISTEN!”

I’m not even done and my knee hurt too much to keep going; I’m definitely not ready to go back to work just yet.

I’m disappointed.   My neighbors are starting to irk me again and I don’t really have disposable income to burn on trips out.

Well, it could be worse.

 

Time to get back to work.
