So I’m being trolled.

In a gem of an impulse buy, I splurged at the closing-down Borders (each time I saw one of those “EVERYTHING MUST GO!!!” signs I got a little more depressed).  I managed a Phoenix Wright comic, as well as a copy of Milk Eggs Vodka, a book of found shopping lists and food-related trivia.  Did you know the most commonly misspelled word on shopping lists tends to be ‘banana?’

Did you know that there have been times when I had to sing that song to remember it?

 

I also bought a tarot deck I’ve had my eye on since this time last year.

Then we hit Wal-Mart.

 

I bought a $20 PSN card.

I  bought FFIX.

 

Now here’s where the trolling comes in:

I’ve tried to download this two times now, and each time it times out.  5% in—that’s 20 minutes on this crap connection—and times out.

10% in—times out.

 

I’m trying it again, and I probably won’t get to sleep in a timely manner.  It seems to work better if I poke buttons while it’s going.

 

Thus, I sit awake, balance my checkbook (praying that I haven’t impulse-bought my way into a hole) and cross my fingers.

 

I’M THIS CLOSE AND THE PSN’S TROLLING ME WHUT.

*crosses arms and taps fingers, waiting for it to finish…which will likely take two hours*

EDIT 12:57 AM:  It got to the 75% point, when the server timed out according to the message.  By now the PSP battery’s so hot I’m going to go to bed and try it again in the morning, when I wake up.  I’m too tired to continue to poke the device.

TIPS THAT YOU SHOULD KEEP IN MIND WHILST PLAYING

(1) Explore everything. Items are hidden EVERYWHERE.
(2) Speak to everyone. This game has a lot of versatility when it comes to NPCs. Some of what they have to say is rewarding, some of it is just insightful and some of it will just make you go "Lolwhut?"
(3) Steal. KEEP ON DOING IT. STEAL. STEAL. STEAL. (Also note that the stat that controls the success rate is spirit)
(4) Enjoy the ATE system. It gives you a lot of insight into what's going on elsewhere.
(5) If you have any questions, theories or just wanna comment on whatever TALK TO ME!!!

1) I beat FFVI, in which there's always something in jars (and Elixirs in every grandfather clock and the only alarm clock), so SECOND NATURE!
2) WILL DO GENERAL!

4) What is the ATE system? *headtilt*

5) IT'S STILL TROLLING, THIS IS THE THIRD RESTART WHUT

(1) Even though there are treasure chests in most places, be sure to check EVERY NOOK AND CRANNY. The game is nice enough to give you a ! symbol when you spot something but it means you have to scout around to see if there's something that you can't see hidden away
(2) GOOD!
(3) Zidane's a thief and proud of it.
(4) It's the Active Time Event system. Basically you have the choice of seeing scenes that are taking place elsewhere at the same time. Sometimes you can watch them all, others you have to choose. Great for developing subplots and providing insight for other characters. (All of Kuja's are auto so you don't have to worry about missing Thongboy)
(5) NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!

I just caught the ep where you find out what Origami Cyclone's power actually is.

I've been getting weird internet signal for a few days now, and it's kept me off of Youtube, Hulu, and any given MMO for a while. To give you an idea:

3 bars is 'barely alive signal.'
2 bars is 'automatically disconnects because TWO BARS AIN'T WORTH LIVING *connection commits harakiri*

I've been fluctuating between the two for the last couple of days which is why I had that one day of rapid-fire sign-in-sign-outs ><
