The day at work today was something of a bore. Of course, it’s when things get interesting that there’s trouble.

With the cleaning largely done—nitpicky things like the oven remain to be done—I welcomed the chance to lie down and get my bearings, especially since I did something exceptionally stupid today at work.

I moved a mattress unassisted.

Now, it had to be done—the bedskirt was one ugly sort of helter skelter—but in the process I pulled something in my right side that set a muscle in my neck to pulling oddly. I walked with a weird crook to the head until I got home, wondering what it was that I’d done to my neck. It wasn’t until I laid down that it hit me.

So then I hit the aspirin and a pillow—then ditched the pillow, it was making things worse.

I’m going to be out today. It’ll be my first day out in a while, and I’m rather looking forward to it. I welcome the chance to not have to stare at these walls for a little while…especially since I have to wash said walls as soon as my dad delivers a sponge mop to the joint.

Oh well, could be worse.

Now if you’ll excuse me, I have to get ready to be social and stupid! Whoo~!
