Argh. Damage Control, Day 3…

Considering that there are three of us with these same symptoms right now (obviously disregarding the leaden weight that is my damn knee), after a consultation with a QuickCare doc, WebMD, and that greatest of diagnosers—Mama—I’ve come to the conclusion that we’ve come down with a weak flu.  All we’ve got is the CRIPPLING FATIGUE AND FEVER/CHILL that it comes with, hence my conclusion that it’s a weak one.

Now, I don’t do well with any flu, and my latest pain medicine has a warning that if I catch any infections I need to see a doctor, so after this initial visit, I might have to come back again.

 

Between now and then, I have my own home remedy to turn to:

 

Homemade super-spicy curry.

 

I don’t  normally eat such spicy things—but I’m sick right now and if I’m stuck with this fever, I might as well turn up the flames on it, burn this bastard out of my system before taking a SWAN DIVE into a tub filled with ice water.

 

…hells, if it doesn’t work, I got a supervisor who will INSIST on driving me to an Urgent Care center if I come in again with that ‘old-freezerburnt-steak’ complexion again.  And I think I’ll take her up on it if it keeps going.

 

I mean, do you know how weird it is to be burning up and freezing cold at the same time?  Brr.  Do not want.  Do not like.

Oddly I mind it less when it's a curry—there's enough going on besides HOLY FRACKING SHITE THIS IS LIKE AN INFERNO IN MY FACE!heat that I can enjoy it.

At any rate, the curry came out strong enough that I can actually taste it (first thing to go when I get sick? My sense of taste! No matter what I catch!), so between that and the upcoming ice bath and the sweet matcha for after, I might be able to beat this thing without a doctor.

But one more dizzy spell, and I'm checking myself in. Hell, if I go outside for work and it turns out that I STEAM in the morning air, I'm skipping work and hitting the triage office. That's too much playing, as they say 'round these parts.

EDIT, about 5 minutes later: And spicy hot apples are THE BOMB.

Let's hope you do! It's so close to christmas and the last thing you need is to spend it cooped up in bed with the flu.

Poor thing, this just isn't your month, is it? January had better be kinder to you is all I'm saying.

If nothing else, I have W.H.A.D.D.A.L.O.T.T.A.J.A.R.G.O.N to look forward to reading on the bus tomorrow. I'd skip it entirely but, even with the cushion, I need the money!

W.H.A.D.D.A.L.O.T.T.A.J.A.R.G.O.N is very cute so at least it'll put a smile on your face even if you have a long day. (Donald Duck is perhaps the best uncle ever. I really love how he threatens those brats with a hairbrush...)

Hmm I'm trying to think which other ones really fit into the 'Cute' category... "The Duck who never was" is rather heartwarming even if it is horribly cliched.

...Let me put it to you like this: the uke is in a love triangle with Sephiroth/Snow White's Prince (Oh yah, Morikawa is Snow White's true love!) and Aladdin. Also Aladdin's bitchy ojousama sister is Zexion/Kuja.

This, coupled with Disney awesome makes for a very strange cocktail that I might try myself...

I haven't heard the first installment but fortunately its easy to pick up on; Morikawa is a 3rd year Highschool Student, Kiitsu Hiura, whilst Taniyama is Kotarou Tohno, his kohai (Kotarou often refers to him as "Kaichou" so I'm assuming Kiitsu is the president of some school club) Since this is a continuation of the previous drama they start off as an established couple. Whilst off on vacation with Kiitsu, Kotarou runs into Shinichiro Miki's character, Kae Inaba who also attends their school (he's in the same year as Hiura) and was in the previous drama. Kotarou begins to befriend Kae despite Kiitsu's warnings and it starts to become obvious that Kae has feelings for Kotarou. To make matters more complicated there's Saori Inaba, Kae's older sister, (played by Akira Ishida) who tries to ruin Kotarou's relationship with Kiitsu by making all these claims about who Kiitsu really is that Kotarou supposedly didn't know (i.e. Saori is Kiitsu's fiance, Kiitsu can't be involved in a homosexual relationship because he's the only male heir etc) and pretty much spends every moment being a bitch.

I had a quick listen to some of the tracks and found that 1, 3 and 8 contain H scenes (8's is the best since it takes up most of the track) and there's a bit of unrequited Miki/Taniyama in track 7. ;D

I have to say that I'm thoroughly amused by the fact that Morikawa, Miki and Ishida are all in this given how there's been Morikawa/Ishida, Miki/Ishida and Morikawa/Miki in the past. Though what really gets me laughing is the fact that Ishida's 'Saori' voice was less feminine than the voice he used when he was an uke in level C (old yaoi ova available on youtube) especially given that MIKI WAS THE SEME THERE. What's even more hilarious though is Morikawa commenting on Ishida managing to pull off a woman's voice when they did the cast talk and yet considering some of the H scenes they'd done together by that point, I was surprised he wasn't saying "Oh come on, you can go higher than that! Where's my pretty little princess?"
