Muses' holiday strike! Whoot.

Well. It seems that the long holiday weekend has my muses taking the exact same alternative. Even though I don’t get a break throughout this long four days of sheer hells. I’ve got to put up with these people…if it weren’t for a good day of DDR-induced exhaustion, I don’t think I’d have the ability to put up with this as well as I do right now. Oh, and if you’re reading this jayaballard, I still suck at it, and I’ve got a long way to go before I’m back at competitive levels. But watch out when I do get back at that level! :P

The break has induced a few things, namely a muse strike. They don’t’ want to work as hard as they have been, and it’s making me really annoyed right about now. I need to have some kind of input so I can get to work on this stuff. I mean, come on – I’ve got two fics waiting for me to get rolling on again, and another two that decided that they want to be written without my input…oh well. And then there’s this massive crossover that I’m helping out on. I haven’t gotten anything to work with recently from my muses.

I wouldn’t have that problem if it weren’t for the fact that I can’t get online at the house. Even though I can afford this connection – since I’m not the one paying the bill – I’d have a bit of a problem with it. The software on my desktop isn’t what you’d call top of the line. Windows Millennium doesn’t support a lot of the stuff that I sorely need on this computer, and even if it did, I’m not too sure that my processor would have the power to handle it all. The printer’s got it working overtime, for gods’ sakes, and if I were to try using that at the same time as working MSN Messenger, I’d really have a problem.

Therein lies my problem. I’ve tried to upgrade the software to something higher than 2. some-weird-mishmash-of-decimals version, but it seems that the OS doesn’t support anything else out there.

The situation just makes me go ::falls over and lands on something sharp::

But back to topic…I’ve been trying to get to work on the YxZ fic – I want to have it almost done before the X-mas vacation (more like X-mas doom -_-). The first few chapters have been well-received, and so I’m working on getting some more done so that I can see where it wants to be going to.

The other night, while writing a confrontation scene that I’m rather proud of, I got the desire to write something different – the muses wanted me to write a second version of the scene, and they wanted that scene to be pr0n. (I’m using the chatspeak because there’s a bothersome kid behind me o.O) But before I got anywhere with it, meaning before I even got past the disclaimer, I lost my nerve.

What the frack?

Still can’t do it. Nope.

There’s gotta be a way to get past this block that doesn’t involve me going horizontal.
