RAMBLING update

It’s four days til my birthday. I’ve gotten my gift to myself ordered, so now I’m just waiting for it to arrive. It’s a vaporizer and a blend of herbs that I thought I’d try. I can’t buy salvia divinorum anymore, so I had to start looking around for something that provides the taste and the buzz that I like. Really, the taste of diviner’s is kind of an acquired taste-it’s an astringent, extremely green taste, and unless you’re already a fan of that sort of taste, then you won’ t like the taste. Of course, the first time I’d tried it, I’d heard about what it can cause-its properties of inducing a strange sort of high are well known now, even though how it works is still kind of a mystery. It’s this very effect that has so many lawmakers hysterical now, working their asses off to schedule the herb and make the sale and possession of it a felony in many states, including here, in the land of soybeans and corn.

 

 

Seeing as there’s so much hysteria on it here that it is now officially illegal here, I had to find another herb to try. Surprise-the site where I found something that sounded delicious also used to carry my fav herb, the newly-illicit Ska Pastora. It’s a locally based place, and the thing is, since it’s local, the order that I placed-yesterday, was it?-should be in very soon now. It shipped the same day, so at earliest I expect to see my packet of Druid Mood Blend tomorrow; and at latest, on Friday.

I ordered the vaporizer the same day, but I can’t seem to get a bead on when that one ships. I was expecting to use the tracking code today to check on it, but for some reason, most of the day the net has been down. As such I have been here fixing to get some writing done. I’ve done a total of about two thousand words today, and that’s with my miniscule attention span today. I’m actually impressed with myself lately; I’ve been able to get about that much done every day, but the problem lately with that is that it is in different stories, and any one story doesn’t tend to get a whole terrible lot of progress done with lately.

Also there is the fact that lately, one of the things that I had been working on as an exercise with a different style of writing has developed a plot of its own. I’m thinking about turning that into a mini-thingy if I get the chance. (Read: If it doesn’t leave me the hack alone zomg) On the upside, it means that I’m actually living my old dream-writing is the first thing that hits my head in the morning usually, and it’s the first thing that I do when I get my time at the end of the day. It’s something that I used to take for granted, but now, now that I can actually put aside time each day relatively uninterrupted to do this in, it’ like something entirely new. Of course, I have had to get used to using a flat keyboard on the laptop, but it’s been an easy fight on that front.

Time to get out of here-I gotta do something else before my muse wakes up-I’m too tired to write much more. rofl
