I woke this morning to three things: an alarm, a drugged torpor, and a POP.

The torpor wore off on hearing that sound. The alarm went ignored.

I roll out of bed to examine what has fallen.

I repeat the word “no” until it becomes meaningless as I pick up the halves of my ocarina, split cleanly in two along the place where the halves are joined.

I'm...going to need a day.

Work yesterday went awesome.  Got home though and realized that I'd left my keys there.  I turned around and picked them up.

…and other assorted profanities.

I…might have a problem.

My icon is not nearly depressed enough but, as you are about to find out, it is too dangerous to make one. )

Again, not so live; the internet continues to be inaccessible thanks to the hacking bastard that prompted another password change.

Cue “Big No” right about now. )

In an unexpected turn, my newest obsession, the Reign of Bohemians, is closing down. The news struck me with the force of a physical blow, and I simply stared at the monitor in shock for about five solid minutes before it totally registered.

Dimly, I backed up the pieces that I'd posted to my portfolio onto a Micro SD card. Our kingdom, fallen, I think to myself as I watch the new data folder fill with my written work and wonder just what will happen to the group. The chemistry that had built was amazing, and I do not know if it can be replicated anywhere else.

I can only hope.
