Oh my god.

Just... oh my god.

I've been trying to get my brain working again which has been difficult this month because hey, no food stamps and on short rations.

Today, that was fixed.

And then I saw this.

...excuse me while I go write.

WHO GET RENTED?! C'MON MUSES, SOMEONE HAS TO GET RENTED!

I can answer that for ya.

It's a LONG time coming but finally, Random Chaos has a presence in the mainstream. Sort of.

Share, follow, like, brohoof, "ARR!" or whatever. This is also the place to throw any sort of question at me, kind of like a permanent AMA.

The year before last, I was preparing for NaNoWriMo, when I got an article in my inbox spotlighting ‘dubious writing advice,’ as the writer put it. Being morbidly curious—bad advice is sometimes the best thing you can get, because it takes you out of your brain—I clicked on the link in the article.

There should have been a pop-up warning. “NSFW. Probably NSFB [brains].” Because the man is good. His advice is good.

And he’s fricken hilarious.

Incidentally, the coffee was where he got me hooked.

The man’s advice is solid, and his writing—oh, his writing!

…You know what, I could gush all day, but I think I’ll let the link speak for itself.

…and make coffee. ‘Cuz I’m out of coffee.

You like food?

You like strange food?

You like hearing about strange food that you're a little intimidated to try?

I have the thing for you, then.

Meet Quinn.

Quinn will try anything you're too faint of stomach to on her way on the road of food. Her English will likely be terrible. But Quinn is fluent in the language of food, and that's all that matters.

...even if it's weird food.

A Note: 100 Things will return on the first of the month. I’ve been trying to post the same entry for several days with no successes to be had, but I think I’ve found the problem and once I’ve booted it the hell out of my system, the uploads should WORK PROPERLY and I’ll be able to get things going again.

Got an ear infection? Suspect it?

DON’T wear closed environment headphones. Even at a nice volume the heat’ll make you hurt so damned bad you’ll wonder if being deaf is better.

Of course, this coming from someone who uses nothing BUT closed-environment, hi-definition, audiophile-approved cans.

Seriously—cutest airstrike in the history of ever.

Free speech is something we take for granted in the US. So hearing about something like this gets me to thinking about how we have it here, and about how other nations have it. And specifically this…I’m not sure how they came up with this idea, but if their aim was to get the international community to squee with delight, I consider this a win.

Kotetsu and Godot. They could practically use each other as shaving mirrors--well, less the visor (But Godot's Blind Without It, so we'll allow it). Similar fashion style. Similar in the face. Similar epic beards. They even both mention having returned from the depths of hell at pivotal moments.

HOW. DID. I NOT. SEE THIS. SOONER?!

#MindBlown, guys.

This is one of those times where I'm going to make an exception.  As I read this list I looked for things that my main characters might be guilty of.  Thankfully, I didn't see anything like that in mine, but I'd better be careful that I don't wind up with a bunch of GUILTY parties.
