Writing~

I've been doing a little bit more writing than before.  Today, I actually did a haiku. (I'll post a link later, when I'm not running 20 tabs, a radio, a scan, and MS Word at the same time.  The horror!)

The point is, I'm making sure that I have gotten into the rhythm of doing at least one thing a day before November starts.

As you probably already know, November is NaNoWriMo; that's a lot of words to try to get done in a short amount of time, but to make sure that I can do it I'm giving myself an exercise a day to see if I can actually hold up to the challenge.

In addition to doing this, I'm also working on something on the side:  tarot card-based side stories.  They  have nothing to do with my NaNoWriMo…well, except for one, which was actually spawned from one.  The rest are totally different, though.

I start the Tarot exercise in November, too.  Keep an eye out.  I'm going to try to average one a week. ^_^

So.

I mentioned a while back that I was buying a notebook so that I could keep writing on random stuff.  I wasn't planning on what happened once I actually started writing in it.  It got the better of me, it did.

For a while I had to make sure that I kept myself to a strict writing schedule.  It was a discipline thing; if I didn' t write at least a little bit a day it was too hard to do much else with anything.  So I gave myself this schedule.  At least an hour a day at the machine or notebook, no other interruptions to bother me, a timer at my right and a steaming cup of (delicious! <3) tea at the left.  Clickie the pen, date the page, and write!

An hour later, I have the second installment of the Organization XIII Therapy sessions in glorious chickenscratch. o.O

The following day, the third one shows up.  And it's even scarier, somehow.

I'm going for a fourth.  It's like crack, really.  (Or is it heroin?  Oh well.  It's not important.

Albeit the majority of it happens to be longhand.  Just call me old-fashioned.

Fake cut! )

(YES my titles suck.)

Note:  The following entry is (mostly) satirical in nature.  It doesn't reflect on any chain, any hotel, any motel, or any bed and breakfast in particular.  If you don't agree with something in here, you have been warned.  It's largely pulled from my experiences, but some of it is also from the war stories of my co-workers at the hotel.  Then there's the fiction factor added for the satire itself.  (See if you can guess what's fiction. ^_____^)

Recently I have been doing a lot of things regarding getting spammed by muses. Some of it has been giving people weird ideas, some of it has been giving myself weird ideas, and others have nothing to do with writing whatsoever.

This latter case is the one that's bugging me right now. I've got a muse that wants me to do choreography. And may the gods strike me down if I don't actually plan on doing it soon too. It's all planed out, too. The outfit, the hair, the accessories. Even down to the specific moment of every move, and it's going to haunt me until I do it. …I think I might be slightly possessed or something XD

I'd elaborate more but I need food, so later, folks.
railenthe: (WTF?)

You know, this is a funny story. I have been the one who, for a number of people that I know, have provided foolproof traps to get one’s muses up and working again. I haven’t yet given a method that hasn’t worked for someone. I have so many methods that work well that I don’t know what to do with them. I don’t need another one for that.

Someone could have warned me that a hot-to-tolerance-level shower, rich sweet tea mixed with brandy, and trip-hop was one of the infamous combinations.

I now have several plot bunnies bothering me to write ficcage—AND some short originals. I have been possessed by muses, and it is even starting to distract me from other important things…like the figure skating competition. Gotta…focus… *tries to focus*

Nope, ain’t happening. XD *gets to work on muses’ orders*
