Well, someone suggested it.

But the more and more that I think about it, and the more that I play FFXII, the more that I feel like yes, I can in fact write this pairing with no problems at all.

And the more it becomes. Ridiculously. CUTE.

Right now my internet is not working. This means that most of what I do is on borrowed time when I am supposed to be rolling a character for a game, or rolling for my attack roll--essentially I need to be paying attention to the combat, and not trying to update sixteen things at once.

While this is all going on, I will probably spend most of my time napping between dice rolls.

…I am aware that this is copy-pasta from my dA.
I am sleep-deprived, however, and the fact that I have managed to find a connection in the first place today is a wonder in and of itself.

I'm going to nap now, and kind of pray that we don't game tonight.  I don't think I could stay awake through it.

Random update, like I said x3

Lucking out, managed to get myself a little sick.  It's probably nerves.  And if it is nerves, I can trace the source of these nerves, unlike the usual cases.

But all in all, floating around at near the endgame of February, it's been a good month.  Lots of good stuff heading my way, and surely more on its way after that.  I don't think that it can get much better than it already is right now, but then again that's just my limitations trying to keep things realistic.

'Cause, y'know, when you say something can't get worse, it usually does and with a vengance.  And when you say that things couldn't get better, they usually go strange to seven different hells and back before you get back to the zero point.

So until a few more days have passed along, I think that I will refrain from making a verdict on this month.

Still have to get those notebooks so that I can get the finished pieces that I was working on posted.  I was working in another one a while back, and managed to write something cracky; something just possessed me to write Axel/Demyx…yeah.  I know, I don't know where it came from either.  It just hit in my head and there was a prompt to go with it and everything.

I'm also screwing around with prompts for a 'what if' thread that I might post on a forum site.  Like:  Imagine that your original/favorite character is an assassin.  (If they actually are, that's better, but the idea is in the stretch)  Design and write what you think would be their most impressive way to dispatch a target.  How about that one for starters?  ^_^

So I've been listening to Lemongrass's tune "Lightning Fire (Solar Incense Mix)" for most of the day. I think it is safe to call it an addiction at this rate. I can't get enough of it. If I could find the lyrics I'd post them. I think I may just have an especially detailed listen to it and try to pick the more obscure ones out and post them, and see what everyone else thinks of the song.

It's good. Trip-hop. Seems that that's the main of what I listen to lately. But there's just something to be said about it. I like the way it sounds and its flow. The melody's airy, and the counter…well, most tracks I tend not to notice a counter-melody—mainly because it tends not to be there—but there is one here, and it is in there rather like a bass line, though it is most definitely not a bass line.

The melody/verses…not sure how to put my finger on those. The mood is uncertain. Not that the mood of the song is uncertain. I can't get my mind to wrap around the mood of the melody long enough to make a surefire statement on it. It flows so much, and sometimes the words tend to contradict the sound of the melody. It goes in snatch from being nostalgic, to angsty, to…somehow erotic, all at once.

The counter-melody seems to reinforce the thought that it is a rather down-mooded song, but again, the melody tends to switch that thought right out.

As for my actual thoughts on it—minus all the analytical mumbojumbo above in other words—Allow me to begin by saying "Nnngh."

If I just listen to the song, I tend to get a bit jumbled mental images. The most common image is that of a scholar/monk-type figure, blindfolded and drinking some dark rich wine. (And the blindfold is a bolt of black silk, just in case you wanted an image. Lol.) All you can tell for certain is that he is thinking of a lover. The lights are dim and it's as though you're seeing his thoughts while the song plays. With each lyric I get a different image and it is as if seeing it through his eyes. For example, at this line:

"Shades of honey on your face/Lightning Fire, too" I see him held by someone, and a gentle kiss; Then, at:

"Oh, I have to go away/I remember every bit of you/Every little bit of you…" I see his lover fading away, but his hands are still around the space where his lover was.

It's hard to describe really. I just recommend a listen; fans of trip-hop will likely like it, and others might as well.

It's come to my attention that the song's relatively hard to find. If it's difficult, then here's a link to where I found it. Here's Lightning Fire, if you're interested. ^^

EDIT: Or not. I can't seem to insert links! xP Until I figure out how the hack I did it last time, just search the tune and artist on www.singingfish.com and it'll pop up.

Edit, 7/27/06, 15:52: Okay, I think I may have gotten the link this time. Click on the free download for "Lightning Fire (Solar Incense Version).

Three updates in one day. Geez.

I just had this thought, and didn't think that the gist of it would fit in a list of those 'edited entry' setups. So I'm posting it as the third entry that I've made today. Which I find a bit odd, since I rarely do things like that. But rarely do I have thoughts like these. Though it becomes more and more common the closer that I come to snapping entirely. So I'll just talk right now.
