You know how you have one of those days, you know the one, where you just don’t give so much as half a fuck about what’s gotta be done or needs to be done, or you’d like to do and junk?

I’ve had one of those weeks.

And there’s only one thing to do when this happens… )

railenthe: (Squee!)

So, I’m futzing around on the internet when I realize that I need to get something to eat. In fact I remember that I have to eat. (BOTHERSOME! …lol, no one buys that coming from me.) I realize that what I’m eating requires me to do a fuckton of math and so I’m all “HURRRGH, I HATE MATHING” and I go hunting for something to make my job easier.

Then I find a recipe analyzer. It’s going to make my work a lot easier. For one, it does the math for me.

For another…

Isn’t that neat? I’ve actually got nutritional information on one of the foods I make from scratch at home now. I feel like I’ve actually done something here. I can look at something I’ve made and see how it stacks up.

Also? According to the software I’m currently trying the trial of, this is $1.18 a serving. A sushi roll for $1.18. This is a $5 roll in a restaurant.

I am honestly tempted to buy it at the end of the trial. I could make a case for gourmet eating on a shoestring fries budget.

I should be sleeping now, however. I need to be up in…three hours.

Well technically more like ghetto-fabulous bingo.  Emphasis on the Fabulous.  We’ll get to that.

As if you can believe it, I've been productive.  I've been writing much fic, and I have also been working on original stories.  It's been an interesting sort of time.

The fic is mostly up on my DeviantArt, but some of it will be coming over here--once I've gotten over the hassle that is HTML-ing crap.  I hate HTML-ing crap.  It's long and tedious.

Then there's the original.  Since I have actually got a concept, I can get going really fast on it.

But that is a moot point right now.  Right now, I have to watch my BF play Kingdom Hearts.  He's gotten into it.

First off, to anyone on my list who keeps seeing me at the top update page, I forgot to mention that I have occasional bouts of productivity that I have no idea where they come from.

What follows is something that I ripped from an 'in progress' folder.  It makes sense as a standalone, though, and I need to enrich my portfolio.  So here I go.  (The piece I skipped was blatant smut, but I might be putting it in sooner or later.)  Kind of experimental, written in the present tense the entire way through.

Information:  It's old but I'm actually satisfied with how I did.  So :p

So, here I am then, writing this stuff down just in case that it decides to go somewhere.

Upgraded the account for more userpics.  Now I look like an actual webpage, which means that I might be able to pass this thing off as official business when I check out my mail and crap.

I'd had more to say than this, but I acidentally hit the wrong shortcut keys, and so I'm so aggravated with myself for my stupidity that I really don't feel like typing out the entire text block.  I'l still re-do the actual interesting part, though.

Figured that I'd say a few things while I had the chance.

I got to work on that original work again, though I had to pick up from where I left off on a different machine.  I decided that it would be best to just start where I left off instead of trying to remember the entire sequence of events that led to where I had to drop off the other one.  Sure, that's a bit of an annoying task to do, but I've been wanting to work on this for several days and if it means a few small continuity problems, then so be it; I'll check later to make them work again and then keep going where I left off.

This really makes me wish my flash disk wasn't on the fritz. ._.;

On the upside I got a ton done today. Including finding a source for that doggone song on mp3hotfly.com.

I'm productive.  Isn't it insane?
